Senior Accountant

We are hiring a Senior Accountant for a reputed Tea Manufacturing Group based in Siliguri. The candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting operations, financial reporting, taxation, and compliance across group entities. The role requires strong knowledge of accounting standards, statutory regulations, and manufacturing cost accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, and general ledger
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Handle GST, TDS, income tax returns, and statutory compliances
Maintain books of accounts as per accounting standards
Supervise junior accountants and ensure accuracy of entries
Coordinate with auditors for internal and statutory audits
Monitor manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and production expenses
Ensure timely bank reconciliation and cash flow management
Support management with MIS reports and financial analysis

Candidate Profile

Qualification:

B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter (CA preferred)

Experience:

6–10 years in accounting, preferably in manufacturing / tea industry

Skills Required

Accounting & Taxation: GST, TDS, Income Tax (return filing, assessments), Advance Tax
Accounting Systems:
Proficiency in Tally and ERP systems (experience with SAP/Oracle/FMS is a plus)
Cost & Inventory:
Cost Accounting, Inventory Valuation, Standard Costing, Production Cost Analysis
Financial Reporting & Controls:
Preparing financial statements, bank reconciliation, internal control documentation
Audit & Compliance:
Coordination with statutory and internal audits, statutory compliance management
Technical

Skills:

Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, macros), MIS reporting

Soft Skills:

Leadership and team-handling ability, attention to detail, analytical mindset
