Hallmark Field Merchandiser; part-time - Sikeston, MO

Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you will independently showcase organization and time‑management skills while establishing retailer relationships as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion you may also work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.

• Your starting hourly pay rate is $15.00 to $17.00 per hour depending on skills and experience.
• Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
• This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
• Average weekly hours are between 10 and 15 per week.
• Availability before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.

You will perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The role consists of three major components:

• Day‑to‑day engagement:
  Use a mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark inventory both inside and outside the Hallmark department. Communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and answer surveys for required merchandising activities. Provide professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
• Holiday support:
  Expect additional days and extended hours during holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. You may be required to work on the actual holiday itself, including weekends.
• Department resets:
  Part of a team responsible for installations and tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Typically notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which could include evenings or weekends.
• One Team Vision:
  You are part of a network of merchandisers professionals that often support other team members as needed in their territories.

This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will be working on the selling floor as well as in back stockrooms. You must be able to consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and fixture display up to 30 pounds throughout the day and up to 50 pounds on occasion.

You will also be required to kneel, squat, walk, stand, and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
• Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
