Dentistry with a work-life balance. Make a difference while doing what you love. Big Smiles, a school-based mobile dental practice, is seeking a Temporary Dental Assistant in Sikeston, MO and surrounding areas to help provide dental care to underserved children at their school.

Our in-school dental program offers a different experience from a traditional dental practice, with a workday ending with the school day and no nights or weekends. This opportunity is suitable for people seeking a diverse and different working environment, working parents, or anyone who wants to make a difference in the dental field.

• Digital X-ray imaging experience
• X-ray license (preferred, not required)
• Coronal Polishing (preferred, not required)
• CPR certified
• Work experience as a Dental Assistant
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and willingness to travel
• Works well with children
• Organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task
• Team player and able to work on a small team
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Dental assisting services during mobile dental clinics
• Digital X-ray imaging
• Patient records charting
• Equipment setup, breakdown, and sterilization assistance
• Travel daily to and from school sites

• Evenings, weekends and summers off
• School-day schedule (about 6–7 hours), typically 8:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.
