RN performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care. Documents patient care provided. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Detects changes in patient status and reports to the appropriate health care team member, utilizing resources as dictated by acuity. Assigns priorities to the patient’s problems, with highest priority given to the most urgent and critical needs.
Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation). Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Acts as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
- Must have an active AZ or Compact RN License.
- 1 to 2 years of experience preferred.
- Must obtain ACLS within 90 days of hire.
