RoleThe Role
We are seeking an experienced S1 HR Administrative Assistant to provide critical personnel support to Government Human Resources operations. This role is essential in managing the lifecycle of Soldier actions, maintaining unit readiness, and ensuring administrative accuracy within military personnel systems.
Key Responsibilities- Personnel Actions: Prepare and process military personnel actions, including awards, promotions, reductions, transfers, and discharges.
- Systems Management: Utilize IPPS-A to process actions and maintain the accuracy of personnel databases.
- Unit Readiness: Support the preparation of Deployment for Training (DFT) packets, leave requests, and permissive TDY documentation.
- Data Oversight: Review and reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly personnel strength reports and manpower reviews for military, DAC, and contractor personnel.
- Documentation: Maintain functional files and document reportable changes (duty status, TDY, AWOL, etc.) in accordance with AR 600-8-6.
- Briefing Support: Assist in compiling data for weekly command and staff briefings, medical protection systems, and dental records.
- Clearance: Must possess an active SECRET security clearance.
- Experience: Prior experience as a 42A (Human Resources Specialist) or within an S1 section is highly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Direct experience with IPPS-A is required.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Army personnel regulations and administrative procedures.
