About our teamCanyon Vista Medical Center is located in the high desert of southeastern Arizona, serving residents in Sierra Vista, Ft. Huachuca, Cochise County. The hospital was founded in 1963, with a new 177,000 square foot facility completed in 2015.
How you ll contributeThe Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to support patients across acute hospital, acute rehabilitation, inpatient, medical-surgical, and outpatient settings. This role helps restore function, improve mobility, and promote independence by implementing treatment plans, guiding mobility and exercise activities, and monitoring patient response to therapy. The PTA ensures accurate and timely documentation, maintains a safe and organized treatment environment, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to support high-quality, patient-centered care.
Additional responsibilities include communicating progress to the supervising PT and performing other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have
- Associate s degree from a Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Current PTA license in state of practice.
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- Rehab or acute care experience preferred.
