As a Systems Engineer Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of US Army/NETCOM. You will play a crucial role in the engineering and support of the U-SIEM task.

• Support the U-SIEM Engineering Team and its customers to ensure mission deliverables are met.
• Collaborate with with the members of the team and coordinate with the customer as directed by the Task Lead.
• Drive timely completions of work with the ability to adapt to changes in tasking assignments.
• Solve varies technical issues.
• Adapt to new technical challenges through research and professional abilities. Work effectively as part of a large, distributed team.
• Utilize Linux OS platform, VMWare virtualization and SIEMs as part of your day to day responsibilities.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
• Experience:
  
  5+ years of related experience
• Demonstrated experience working with Internet, web, application, and network security techniques.
• Possess an IAT level III certification (CASP, Security
  
  X).
• A working knowledge of Linux operating systems is required.
• Knowledge of Elastic would be preferred.
• Five years’ experience writing technical reports related to Authorization & Accreditation (A&A), System Security Plans (SSP), security policies, or guidance.
• Technical skills:
  Demonstrated proficiency with Linux, Virtualization platforms and SIEMs.
• Security clearance level:
  Secret
• Role requirements:
  
  Literate in popular flavors of Linux. A keen understanding of virtualization platforms is strongly preferred.
