Are you a dedicated Urologist seeking a rewarding opportunity to utilize your expertise in a supportive environment? Canyon Vista is seeking an experienced locum Urologist to provide high-quality care through a combination of outpatient clinic duties and surgical procedures.
This role offers a chance to contribute to a well-established practice, collaborate with a highly skilled team, and enjoy a flexible schedule.
Position Summary:
Canyon Vista is looking for a committed Urologist to cover 2 clinic days and 3 surgical days per week, with no call coverage required. The ideal candidate is a proficient proceduralist with an active Arizona medical license and a clean professional record. The clinic is supported by a high-functioning, experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) team, ensuring comprehensive patient care. The schedule runs from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with an unpaid lunch break.
This position is designed to be flexible, fulfilling your professional goals while providing excellent patient outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid and active Arizona medical license
- Proven experience in urological procedures and patient management
- Strong clinical, surgical, and procedural skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to adhere to scheduled hours and documentation protocols, including timesheet verification for callbacks and overtime
Skills:
- Previous locum or temporary staffing experience
- Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
- Experience working with a high-functioning APP team
Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Urology
- Minimum of 3 years of post-residency clinical experience in urology
- Current Arizona medical license
- Willingness to assist with documentation and adherence to healthcare regulations
- Ability to provide supporting notes for timesheet entries to verify callback and overtime hours, with pre-approval for overtime from a manager or designee
- Knowledge of and compliance with all applicable state, federal, and local laws governing medical practice
- Travel reimbursement and certification if applicable
- Competitive hourly pay rate of $1.00
