Fleet Technician

Job description:

We are hiring for a motivated and dedicated FLEET TECHNICIAN for our NKA Transportation Division, with the ability to perform diagnosis and repair on Semi Tractors and Trailers.

• Diagnose and repair all mechanical and electronic systems, including diesel engines, HVAC, instruments, brakes, steering, suspension, and drive train.
• Diagnose and repair Vehicle air conditioning systems.
• Utilize diagnostic software such as Cummins Insite, Volvo PTT, Bendix ACOM, Meritor ABS.
• Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components.
• Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on semi trucks and trailers in accordance with 49 CFR section 396.
• Structural and General trailer repairs including Panels, Rails, Crossmembers, Flooring, Roofing.
• Offsite service and repairs, Road calls, Tire repairs.
• Ability to work unsupervised on most tasks.
• Works in accordance with all federal, state, and corporate compliance guidelines.
• Service and repair company cars and trucks.
• All job duties will be performed onsite in person.

• Previous experience as a Technician with heavy and medium diesel trucks.
• Knowledge of shop equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Deadline and very detail-oriented.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• High School Diploma or Tech School Graduate.
• Clean driving record.
• The ability to pass a background check.
