Position SummaryPerform a variety of duties under the immediate supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor to repair and maintain a variety of production equipment and machinery of the production plants and offices.
Essential Functions- Work from written or verbal orders, schedules, or emergency situations. Use a variety of charts, tables, prints, schedules, manufacturer handbooks, portable hand tools, amp, volt, ohmmeter, and other testing equipment. Understand ladder logic, process control logic, and PC usage.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair production and building machinery, equipment, and systems. Check and repair plumbing, piping, electronic problems. Assist with teardown, repair, and reassembly of major equipment. Troubleshoot low‑voltage control circuits.
- Set up and operate an arc and gas welder for simple hand welding in all positions. Adjust gas, current, and voltage for proper fusion. Operate acetylene torch for heating and cutting.
- Perform scheduled lubrication of production equipment, machinery, and parts. Oil and grease moving parts, replace defective grease and oil fittings, and clean filters, sprockets, chains, etc.
- Complete standard form after each job. Detect and report defective material, faulty equipment, and unusual situations. Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in a neat and orderly manner.
- As a member of the evacuation team, participate in all drills and respond to emergency situations as required.
- Call during off‑hours according to the predetermined schedule. Observe and obey all safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Ensure proper operation of equipment with minimum downtime through good workmanship.
- Backup the Maintenance Group Lead in their absence.
- Lead Maintenance Technicians in continuous improvement across all manufacturing processes.
- High School Diploma
- Four years of industrial maintenance experience
- Self‑starter with solid work ethics
- Proficiency in computer and Windows‑based programs
- Proper operation and preventative maintenance of mechanical equipment, including basic electricity
- Ability to work with little or no supervision and teach basics to teammates
- One year of technical education
- Edgewell teammates, contractors, and regulatory agencies
- Some travel may be required for training
- Work on night shifts and weekends required
- Exposure to health risks requiring Personal Protective Equipment
