Join Wilson Health and make a meaningful impact in protecting patients, staff, and our community. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Infection Prevention Specialist to lead our comprehensive infection prevention program and promote a culture of safety across our organization.
In this key role, you will:
- Direct and coordinate hospital-wide infection prevention efforts to ensure compliance with state, federal, and regulatory standards.
- Serve as a consultant to staff, providers, and leadership on infection control best practices.
- Develop and deliver education for employees, physicians, and patients on infection prevention topics.
- Conduct surveillance and reporting of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and collaborate with local health departments as required.
- Oversee NHSN reporting, manage the annual flu vaccination program, and support the hospital’s Water Safety and Hand Hygiene programs.
- Participate in construction and renovation projects, ensuring infection control risk assessments are implemented and maintained.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (BSN) licensed in Ohio, or Master’s degree in Public Health, Respiratory Therapy, or Microbiology.
- Minimum of one year of related experience in infection prevention, quality, or public health.
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred upon hire, required within one year.
- Strong analytical, communication, and data management skills.
