Position Reports toRadiology & Imaging Services Manager
Department DescriptionWilson Health’s Radiology and Imaging Services Department performs diagnostic tests requested by doctors to help make more accurate diagnoses. We use a variety of imaging technologies (bone density testing, CT scans, CT heart screening with calcium scoring, 3D digital mammography, MRI, nuclear medicine, stereotactic breast biopsy, ultrasounds, and X‑rays) to obtain detailed views of patients’ internal anatomies, minimizing need for invasive surgery.
The department is staffed with highly‑trained radiology personnel and board‑certified radiologists, who are trained to read in specific diagnostic areas. All images are stored on our state‑of‑the‑art PACS system, allowing physicians to view and share images with other physicians for consultation.
Operate radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x‑rays) of patients for diagnostic purposes, as directed by a radiologist, performing the duties listed below.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiography procedures with competence required by the ARRT, Ohio Department of Health, and department directors.
- Maintain both quality and quantity of patient workload at professional level demonstrated in the department.
- Display understanding of procedures and equipment utilized throughout the department, including radiography, trauma radiography, fluoroscopy, special procedures, surgery, and portables.
- Help supervise and train student technologists from Rhodes State College.
- Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school and ARRT registry or registry eligible.
- Current ARRT Registry and Ohio Department of Health radiographic license.
