PositionBU Senior Procurement Program Manager will play a critical role in building, maturing, and scaling the supply base supporting Copeland’s next generation of strategic platforms. This position operates at the intersection of sourcing, engineering, operations and supplier development to ensure suppliers are identified, qualified and ramped effectively to meet aggressive program timelines and long‑term business growth. You will lead supplier readiness for key new product introductions (NPI), drive cross‑functional alignment and help shape a resilient, high‑performing supply base capable of supporting future strategic programs.
This highly visible role is essential to ensuring future platforms launch on time, at target cost and with the right supplier capabilities to support the next decade of innovation.
- Lead supplier onboarding and ramp‑up activities for new strategic platforms, ensuring readiness across quality, capacity, cost, and delivery.
- Manage sourcing‑related program timelines, milestones and risk mitigation plans.
- Partner with engineering and operations to translate technical requirements into sourcing strategies and supplier capability needs.
- Facilitate cross‑functional program reviews; elevate risks and drive timely resolution to maintain program execution.
- Identify, assess and develop suppliers aligned with emerging technologies and long‑term strategic platforms.
- Conduct capability and maturity assessments to validate supplier readiness.
- Support dual‑sourcing, localisation and resilience strategies to strengthen supply continuity.
- Collaborate with Supplier Quality, Commodity Management and Advanced Manufacturing to drive supplier improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to sourcing strategies for new programs, including make‑vs‑buy analysis, supplier selection and commercial negotiations.
- Align supplier development with commodity roadmaps and enterprise procurement strategies.
- Support cost modelling, early supplier engagement and value engineering during product development.
- Identify supplier risks early and lead mitigation planning.
- Maintain program dashboards, supplier readiness metrics and executive‑level reporting.
- Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies, sustainability requirements and regulatory standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related field (Project Management certification preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in procurement, supplier development, program management or NPI sourcing.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supplier capability assessment and supply chain risk management.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex, multi‑phase programmes.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with supplier ramp‑ups, new product introductions or strategic platform launches highly desirable.
- Up to 15% travel, depending on programme needs.
- Experience with commodities such as castings, steel, stampings or plastics.
- PMP certification.
