RN - ER

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at a Critical Access Hospital. The ED RN provides high-quality, patient-centered emergency care across the lifespan, often working independently while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced, rural healthcare environment and value broad clinical practice.

• Provide emergency nursing care to patients of all ages, including triage, assessment, treatment, and stabilization.
• Respond to trauma activations, medical emergencies, and urgent care needs.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions per protocol.
• Operate and assist with emergency equipment (cardiac monitors, defibrillators, ventilators, etc.).
• Collaborate with providers, EMS, and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care and transfers.
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record.
• Educate patients and families regarding care, treatment plans, and follow-up.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Current RN license in the state of practice (or compact license).
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Emergency, ICU, or acute care nursing experience preferred.
• PALS and TNCC (or willingness to obtain) preferred.

This position is a Night Shift role from 19:00 to 07:00.
