FLT Counterbalance Operator

Continental 4 on / 4 off (Days & Nights) Pay Rate: £13.54 per hour (with pay increase in February 2026) Contract Type:
Temporary, ongoing Overview:
This role involves approximately 50% forklift counterbalance operation and 50% general warehousing duties.

Candidates must be comfortable switching efficiently between both types of tasks.

Key Requirements:

• Valid, in‑date forklift counterbalance licence (in‑house licences will not be accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience operating FLTs in a fast‑paced warehouse environment
• Ability to work 12‑hour day and night shifts (6am‑6pm / 6pm‑6am) on a continental 4 on / 4 off pattern
• Comfortable using computer systems, specifically SAP
• Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks as required

• Forklift Operation (50%): Safely operate a forklift counterbalance within the warehouse environment; load and unload goods from vehicles and storage areas; move stock to designated locations following warehouse procedures; ensure all forklift operations comply with health and safety standards.
• Warehousing Duties (50%): Pick, pack, and stage products accurately according to orders; assist with stock rotation and inventory management; maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment; use computer systems (e.g., SAP) to log and track stock movements.
