We’re seeking an Exhibition & Sponsorship Sales Manager to lead the commercial sales performance of our live events. This role is focused on selling exhibition stands and sponsorship packages across conferences and awards - with full responsibility for exhibitor and sponsor revenue on assigned events.
This is a commercially intense, office-based sales role ideal for someone who enjoys high-volume outreach, structured sales targets and clear ownership of event revenues.
The RoleAs Exhibition & Sponsorship Sales Manager
, you’ll take ownership of specific events and be responsible for generating all exhibitor and sponsor revenue associated with them. You’ll sell exhibition stands, conference sponsorship packages and awards sponsorship opportunities to companies operating within the built environment.
You’ll manage the entire sales cycle from prospect research through to close, working closely with internal teams to ensure sponsors and exhibitors are clearly briefed and commercially delivered.
While some event attendance is required, this role is primarily phone-led, with success driven by consistent outreach, strong follow-up and confident closing.
Key Responsibilities- Take full commercial ownership of assigned conferences, exhibitions and awards.
- Sell exhibition stands, conference sponsor ships and awards sponsorship packages.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects for each event.
- Proactively identify new sponsors and exhibitors through outbound sales activity.
- Deliver tailored sales pitches aligned to event audiences and commercial objectives.
- Negotiate terms and close deals to meet event-specific revenue targets.
- Accurately manage all client activity, bookings and pipeline data within the CRM.
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-selling and multi-event commercial packages.
- Attend selected events to support exhibitor delivery, network and generate future leads.
- Feedback on sponsor trends, competitor activity and new commercial opportunities.
- Confident, resilient and comfortable in a high-volume outbound sales environment.
- Strong negotiation skills with a focus on closing revenue.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to CRM and sales data accuracy.
- Commercially focused, proactive and motivated by individual targets.
- Able to manage multiple event timelines and revenue deadlines simultaneously.
This role reports directly to the Managing Director, with secondary support from the Business Development Director.
