Maintenance Engineer - Telford Site
Salary: £39,000 - £42,214 per annum
Hours:
Monday-Thursday Nights
Shift Pattern: 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM (34 hours per week)
Initial Training:
Role will start on day shifts (Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM) for an agreed training period before moving to the night rota. Day shifts will be paid at the standard rate.
We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join our expanding team at our Telford site. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a business that is investing heavily in its people, facilities, and technology.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving production equipment for PCB manufacturing lines, including chemical etching, plating, and lamination systems. The role involves a mix of reactive and planned maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities- Respond quickly to plant breakdowns and ensure root causes are identified and resolved.
- Carry out planned and preventative maintenance autonomously and collaboratively.
- Communicate effectively with operations teams to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records using the Frontline Maintenance Management system.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company SHE policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and root cause analysis.
- Liaise with suppliers for spare parts and equipment as required.
- Minimum City & Guilds Level 2 in Electrical Engineering (ONC preferred).
- At least 3 years as a Maintenance Engineer with electrical bias in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of safe systems of work (permit to work, risk assessments, method statements).
- Experience with planned/preventative maintenance techniques.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems (Frontline preferred).
- HSE training and understanding of relevant legislation.
