Accounts Supervisor

The Role As our Accounts Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the finance department, overseeing a team of two apprentices and three accounts assistants , providing leadership, guidance, and hands-on support as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys developing others, improving processes, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounts assistants and apprentices. Oversee daily transactional finance activities including purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control, and bank reconciliation. Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receipts. Review and approve reconciliations, journals, and month-end tasks. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices. Provide training, support, and performance feedback to team members.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and company financial procedures. Other ad hoc duties as required. About You Previous experience supervising or mentoring staff within a finance environment is required. A strong understanding of transactional accounting processes is required. Excellent communication and organisational skills. A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise workload effectively. You will be confident using accounting software and Excel.
