Consultant Psychologist in Cancer and Palliative Care

We are delighted to offer the opportunity for an experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to take a lead on the provision of Specialist Psychological services in Cancer and Palliative Care settings across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin.

The post will suit a Clinical Psychologist with experience of working within physical health care; ideally with clinical experience in cancer and/or palliative care services and experience of offering leadership in a physical health care setting.

The post-holder will be responsible for the delivery of highly specialised psychological services and will support the development of psychologically and trauma-informed practice across acute, community and hospice settings.

The post-holder will join colleagues in a growing Physical Health Psychology offer within MPFT's Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin Care Group, and benefit from well-established relationships with partner organisations.

• To deliver and lead on Specialist Psychological Services in Cancer and Palliative Care across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin
• Provision of professional advice and consultation regarding psychological practice for system partners providing Cancer and Palliative Care services across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin
• Contribution to the strategic/locality leadership in the provision of effective, efficient Physical Health Psychology services, working closely and collaboratively with the Psychological Practice Professional Lead for the Shropshire Telford and Wrekin Care Group
