We have a wonderful opportunity for an Operational and Quality Lead within our BEEU Eating Difficulties Service. BeeU provides emotional wellbeing and mental health services for children and young people (ages 0 to 25) in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin.

In this role you will manage the day‑to‑day operational delivery of BeeU's Eating Difficulties Service across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, ensuring high‑quality service, adherence to national and trust targets, and accurate recording in the IT systems.

You will be responsible for staff management, leadership, the delivery and delegation of management supervision, and ensuring appropriate clinical or professional supervision as per Trust policy.

You will also carry out clinical work to maintain competencies and, together with the service lead and multidisciplinary partners, develop the provision and quality of services for patients. This reflects principles of clinical governance, effectiveness, cost‑efficiency, and compliance with Trust and national policy.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide appropriate advice to team staff, multidisciplinary and management groups.
  • Monitor and evaluate practice based on contemporary trends and initiate changes in light of findings.
  • Ensure that all statutory and professional responsibilities of relevant professional codes of conduct are met in collaboration with clinical/professional leads.
  • Ensure skill mix provided is compatible with service demands, with due regard to risk assessment.
  • Promote, encourage and develop integration to ensure effective transitions.
  • Encourage and facilitate multidisciplinary and multi‑agency working.
  • Provide advice, information and support regarding local authority and NHS complaints procedures, and implement associated actions and recommendations.
  • In conjunction with the service manager, monitor and manage team performance to achieve Trust objectives.
  • Undertake operational management supervision and ensure appropriate clinical or professional supervision arrangements for all staff.
  • Ensure compliance with the Trust's governance agenda, continuously monitoring and improving safe, effective care delivery.
  • Encourage staff to share good practice, develop ideas to improve services and promote research.
