Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Children's Physiotherapy team at Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust as a Paediatric Physiotherapist Support Worker. This position will work alongside our Physiotherapy Teams in clinic, the community and schools supporting individuals and groups of people to achieve their physiotherapy goals.
You will support the registered clinicians in reviewing the goals of the children and young people (CYP) who use the service, working with the parents/carers and school to ensure the best possible level of care is being provided to the child.
Responsibilities- Develop your skills as part of the physiotherapy team to provide physiotherapy interventions and treatments, overseen by a qualified and experienced Physiotherapist.
- Implement the treatment plan outlined by the qualified Physiotherapist; as a Band 4 you will be expected to progress therapy programmes within your scope of practice.
- Assist registered Physiotherapists in their day-to-day duties and support children and young people with a range of difficulties, under the supervision of registered clinicians.
- Work alongside a wider multi-disciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Specialist Nurses, Speech and Language Therapists and Doctors.
- Travel regularly across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin.
- Work with children and young people in education settings (including special schools), in clinics and in people s homes.
Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust provides community-based health services for adults and children in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, and some services in surrounding areas too. These range from district nursing, health visiting and running four community hospitals through to providing very specialist community care through talented and dedicated staff.
