Grade CO4 per annum

Fixed Term 12 months
We are looking for a Fire Engineer to join our Protection department. The role involves making a significant contribution to complex fire safety enforcement and statutory consultations.
Responsibilities- Provide a lead role in the assessment of fire engineered solutions, often working independently, liaising with outside bodies and internal departments; support wider work progressing the Service into new areas of proactive work.
- Undertake casework on major engineering projects and ensure they are completed efficiently and effectively to meet timescales/targets; provide technical support to service fire safety teams in all matters relating to fire engineering.
- Minimum of BEng (Hons) Degree in Fire Engineering, or an accredited degree with the UK Engineering Council (for partial fulfilment of CEng), and be registered, or be actively working towards registration, as an Incorporated or Chartered Fire Engineer with the UK Engineering Council.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills are essential to the role.
The post is located at Brigade Headquarters, Shrewsbury with on-site parking.
