We are seeking a Special Equipment Operator to join our dedicated team in Shrewsbury, MA. This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for operating and maintaining various types of heavy equipment used in town maintenance and improvement projects, including roadwork, excavation, and material handling. Daily tasks include equipment operation, routine maintenance checks, performing excavation and related duties, and ensuring safe and efficient operation to complete assigned projects.

The operator will contribute to the overall safety, cleanliness, and functionality of town facilities and infrastructure.

• Proficiency in Equipment Operation, including heavy machinery and forklift operation
• Experience with Equipment Maintenance to ensure proper functioning and longevity
• Skills in Excavation and handling heavy equipment for various construction and maintenance projects
• Ability to safely perform precise operations using specialized equipment
• Valid commercial driver’s license and applicable heavy equipment certifications
• Strong commitment to safety protocols, teamwork, and worksite efficiency
• Previous experience in municipal services or a similar environment is preferred
