Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our per diem team at Shrewsbury Rehabilitation and Nursing  a valued member of our rehabilitation team, you will work closely with occupational therapists to deliver high-quality care and support to our patients. • Assist occupational therapists in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients
• Conduct occupational therapy sessions, including activities such as adaptive exercises, mobility training, and cognitive retraining
• Use various modalities, techniques, and devices to facilitate patient progress and independence
• Document patient progress and treatment plans in accordance with facility policies and regulations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans
• Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers on topics such as safety, mobility, and adaptive skills

• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Massachusetts
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in occupational therapy or related field preferred
• Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting or related field
• Ability to work per diem schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
