Clark Wood are working with a well‑established and highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants in Shrewsbury who are looking to recruit an Audit & Accounts Senior to join their growing team.

• Prepare and review statutory accounts.
• Manage tax compliance work.
• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, including supervising fieldwork and ensuring assignments are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Conduct audit planning, risk assessments, and discussions around audit strategy and fraud considerations.
• Liaise directly with clients, building strong professional relationships.
• Support and mentor junior members of the team, helping to develop their technical skills and confidence.

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or nearing qualification).
• Recent experience in a mixed audit and accounts role within an accountancy practice.
• Proven experience leading audit assignments and strong technical knowledge.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
