Clark Wood are currently working with a well-established and highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants in Shrewsbury who are seeking to recruit an Audit & Accounts Manager to join their expanding team.

• Manage a varied and diverse client portfolio across multiple sectors.
• Oversee the preparation and review of statutory accounts and tax compliance work.
• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Develop audit strategies and conduct risk assessments.
• Ensure audits are delivered efficiently, profitably, and to a high technical standard.
• Manage and supervise audit teams, reviewing work and providing technical guidance.
• Mentor junior and senior staff to support their development.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong professional relationships.
• Advising clients on accounting, audit, and wider business matters.
• Contribute to the firm’s wider development, including workflow management, staff training, and supporting partners with business development initiatives and internal process improvements.

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Significant experience in a mixed audit and accounts role within an accountancy practice.
• Proven experience managing audit assignments and teams.
• Strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
