Stock Clerk II

Overview

The Stock Clerk II issues tools, parts, equipment, supplies and materials to authorized employees. Initiates requests for line items based on usage data and special requirements.

• May be required to drive supply source and pick up line items.
• Receives, inventories, posts, and stocks line items on shelves, in bins, and at other authorized stock and storage areas.
• Maintains perpetual inventory or similar receipt, stock and issue records.
• Safeguards against theft or misappropriation.
• May be required to post maintenance and repair data concerning vehicles and equipment.
• Prepares reports and maintains files and records as directed.
• Helps train Stock Clerk I.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

• Issues tools, parts, equipment, supplies and materials (hereinafter called line items) to authorized employees. Initiates requests for line items based on usage data and special requirements. May be required to drive to supply source and pick up line items.
• Receipts for inventories, posts, and stock line items on shelves, in bins, and at other authorized stock and storage areas.
• Maintains perpetual inventory or similar receipt, stock, and issue records.
• Safeguards theft. May be required to post maintenance and repair data concerning vehicles and equipment.
• Prepares reports and maintains files and records as directed. Generate purchase orders and post into automated system.
• Demonstrates knowledge and use of computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and related documentation procedures. Initiates work orders.
• Subject to be on call 24/7. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

5) These abilities and knowledge may have been acquired by any combination of formal education, vocational training, and completion of correspondence courses.

• Most tasks involve the ability to exert medium/heavy physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of medium weight (10-50 pounds).
• Some tasks may involve extended periods of time at workstation.
• Some tasks involve the regular and, at times, sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Some tasks may require perception and discrimination of color, sound, odor, and visual ability.
• Job must be performed with or without accommodations.

• Work is performed outdoors and/or indoors with exposure to noise, dirt, grease, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, fumes, insects, chemicals. Inclement weather.
• Operates machinery with moving parts requiring use of protective devices and computer screens.
