Position: Diesel Mechanic / Truck Technician

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic / Truck Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have multiple years of experience as a trained technician and a strong understanding of heavy vehicle maintenance and repair. The position will full time at our newer facility in Shreveport, LA.

Duties
  • Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to vehicles and equipment.
  • Read job orders, observe and listen to vehicles in operation to determine malfunction, and plan work procedures.
  • Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Tag all warranty parts and returns to the warranty clerk.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
  • Operate forklifts as needed for moving parts and equipment within the shop.
  • Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to transmit information clearly within the team.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1-year fleet, dealership, and/or technical school experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license is required; additional job-related certifications are a plus.
Experience
  • Diesel engine repair: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
