Summary

Broadmoor, LLC is looking for a dependable and safety-focused Carpenter Helper to join our project team in Shreveport. Candidates must follow all Broadmoor safety protocols, remain drug-free, and have reliable transportation to and from the job site. The role requires a candidate who is committed to safety, capable of using hand and power tools, and willing to work on site under varied conditions.

Responsibilities

As a Carpenter Helper, you will assist in building, installing, and repairing a variety of permanent wood and temporary components of the structure. Under the guidance of a carpenter, you will interpret blueprints and plans, measure and shape materials, and assemble them using hand and power tools while ensuring accuracy and alignment. The role may also include assisting in building concrete forms and installing architectural accessories.

Training will be provided for working safely on scaffolding and ladders. Additionally, you will play an important part in maintaining a safe and clean job site by properly setting up and cleaning each day.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in construction and the ability to read blueprints, follow directions, and perform basic math. You should be comfortable using drills, saws, hammers, wrenches, and other common tools, and capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions, on rough terrain, in trenches, and s role requires the ability to work safely around dust, fumes, noise, and vibration hazards while maintaining focus on quality and safety.
