** Southwood Gardens – Shreveport, LA
** Maintenance Technician II
** Responsible for maintaining senior housing facilities to ensure safe, efficient, and comfortable living. Duties include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and supervision of junior staff.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems.
* Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies.
* Perform minor carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
* Ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations.
* Supervise and train maintenance staff.
* Manage supplies, equipment, and documentation.
** Qualifications
* ** HS diploma required; vocational training preferred.
* 2+ years maintenance experience (senior housing a plus).
* Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
* Certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred.
* Valid driver’s license required.
