Lease Buyer Landman

Purple Land Management (PLM) is seeking experienced Lease Buyer Landmen for active projects in Bowie and Cass Counties, Texas, and Miller County, Arkansas. Applicants may reside in or near any of these locations.

The individual will be responsible for conducting contact efforts and lease negotiations with landowners to acquire leases and prepare for renewable energy projects in the area.

Applicants local to the project area will be strongly preferred.

• Work independently to establish contact with multiple landowners across counties and states.
• Build positive relationships with landowners to facilitate negotiations.
• Travel to meet landowners and negotiate lease agreements, including on-site property visits.
• Negotiate surface and sub-surface leases on behalf of clients.
• Educate landowners on project scope, lease terms, procedures, and financial arrangements.
• Update internal databases daily with contact and negotiation progress.
• Provide regular progress reports to Project Managers and clients.
• Prepare Lease Purchase Reports with executed leases and related documents.
• Conduct limited title research to confirm landowner interests.

• At least three years of experience in lease negotiations, outside sales, or property agreements.
• Experience in oil and gas, energy, or renewable energy negotiations preferred.
• Active AAPL membership.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Professionalism and strong ethical standards.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
