Summary

The Quality Control Supervisor oversees quality assurance within our automotive operations, ensuring vehicles, processes, and facilities meet OEM, regulatory, and internal standards. The supervisor leads initiatives that prevent defects, reduce risk, and protect team members, achieving operational excellence and workplace safety.

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily activities of Quality Inspectors, ensuring correct and safe execution.
  • Perform audits to ensure inspectors and VPC departments meet standards.
  • Conduct performance reviews and maintain QC documentation within ISO guidelines.
  • Monitor absences and manage headcount.
  • Assist in developing and implementing quality measurement tools and reporting performance.
  • Motivate and manage quality team members through effective communication.
  • Organize daily quality meetings with team members.
  • Track port quality trends and initiate continuous improvement activities.
  • Support all departments with training activities and ISO certification preparation.
  • Provide cross‑departmental assistance and corrective action development.
  • Enforce quality‑related policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Some exposure to ISO 9000.
  • Good color vision.
  • Proficient in primary workplace language.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Clear instruction and effective presentation abilities.
  • Willingness and ability to cross‑train in other departmental areas.
  • Flexibility with schedule, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong prioritization, organizational, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to drive automatic and straight‑shift vehicles.
  • Independent work in a fast‑paced environment with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Cross‑functional communication skills and strengths.
  • General knowledge of automobile components.
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Associate’s degree or higher (preferred).
  • Valid state‑issued driver’s license without restrictions.
  • 2 years of experience in Quality Control.
  • 1–3 years of leadership and/or supervisory experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit in front of a desk/computer for long periods.
  • Repetitive hand use, writing, and typing.
  • Lift up to 25 lbs and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Stand, walk, drive, push/pull, bend, stoop, kneel, squat/crouch as needed.
  • Stand, walk, and sit consistently.

Working and Environmental Conditions

The work environment is a typical office with low‑level noise exposure. This position is located in the Shreveport, LA office. Communication with employees and field partners is primarily conducted via phone and email.
