Position: IT TECHNICAL SUPPORT ANALYST 1

The Northwest Louisiana Human Services District's mission is to increase public awareness and provide access to integrated community‑based services for individuals with behavioral health and developmental disabilities, promoting wellness, recovery, and independence through education and the choice of a broad range of programmatic and community resources.

We are seeking an IT Technical Support Analyst 1 for the District's Operations IT Department. This position is located at the Shreveportিচ Behavioral Health clinic but serves all five facilities within the nine parishes of our District.

Eligibility & Qualifications
  • Three years of experience in information technology; OR
  • Six years of full‑time work experience in any field plus one year of experience in information technology; OR
  • An associate's degree in information technology plus one year of experience in information technology; OR
  • A bachelor'sandroid degree plus one year of experience in information technology.

  • A bachelor's degree with twenty‑four semester hours in an information technology, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or business analytics field.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience toward the six‑year full‑time work experience requirement. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours, which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience.

NOTE:

A certification in an approved area may be substituted for the education and/or experience requirements at the time of hire or promotion, provided the appointment is made from a Certificate of Eligibles.

Job Duties
  • Receives technical and administrative direction from and serves as assistant to the IT Tech Support Analyst 3.
  • Primary focus is in the areas of computer operations, end‑user and desktop support (hardware and software).
  • Performs a variety of moderately complex IT support duties to ensure smooth delivery of technology services.
  • Provides technical support for internal end users on routine hardware and software problems including operating system support, application support, system access problems and database support services across the District.
  • Administers new user accounts and provides network access according to needs and permissions.
  • Sets up, configures desktop computers, peripherals, and accounts assigning levels of access.
  • Installs software, repairs hardware and peripherals.
  • Performs remote and/or onsite support to resolve technical support requests.
  • Responsible for "|"changing backup tapes as assigned.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems with computer equipment, implements corrective action procedures with prescribed guidelines.
  • Participates in orientation of new employees.
  • Assists supervisor with updating hardware/software network‑wide; deployment of hardware including telecommunications and handheld devices; coordination of video conferencing and other audiovisual equipment.
  • Assists in maintaining inventory of IT assets by keeping equipment databases current and conducts onsite validation of property annually.
  • Serves as IT Tech Support Analyst backup when assigned.
