Base pay range: $40,000.00/yr - $52,300.00/yr.
Pay range may vary based on experience, qualifications, location, etc.
Eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
- The Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patient care and is responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care.
- Performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments.
- Executes clinical duties such as discussing symptoms, gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system, taking vital signs, giving injections, performing diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, drawing blood, sterilizing equipment, and maintaining examination rooms at an outpatient care site.
- Collaborates closely with physicians and nurses, delivering direct patient care dependent on certification.
- Works within defined parameters to identify expectations and quality standards, with some latitude for prioritization and timing under minimal direction.
- Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience with provider approval.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR Certified.
- This role is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program; TB screening required.
- Certified or Registered – candidates from Arizona, Indiana, & South Carolina require Medical Assistant Certification or Registration.
- Phlebotomy experience.
- Medication/vaccine administration experience.
- 1+ years MA experience.
- Value Based Care experience, including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish; must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication.
Role is patient-facing and part of the TB screening program; TB screening required.
