Residential Advisor (Part-Time)
Join to apply for the Residential Advisor (Part-Time) role at Easterseals Louisiana.
Responsibilities- Attend all scheduled shifts (full-time or part-time) and meet all staffing requirements.
- Provide formal and informal resident training within the facility.
- Document resident progress and complete daily documentation.
- Assist residents with scheduling, facilitate transportation, and follow up on behavioral health and primary care appointments.
- Conduct routine room checks and facility rounds as required.
- Communicate with staff and other providers regarding resident care.
- Participate in mandatory staff meetings and open lines of communication.
- Ensure daily schedule is followed and the plan of care is implemented.
- Document all activities and services per plan of care, and sign and date records appropriately.
- Report progress, regression, or recommendations to the Residential Supervisor.
- Support residents’ learning and skill implementation in the facility and community.
- Maintain respect, dignity, and confidentiality for residents and support systems.
- Respond promptly to resident needs and emergencies.
- Participate in support groups and other facility activities as requested.
- Assist or fill in for other staff as directed by the Residential Advisor Supervisor.
- Contribute to public relations and marketing activities to educate the public about program services.
- Provide input and assistance to the Residential Supervisor and Program Director on program reports and outcomes.
- Collaborate with program staff to evaluate and improve program effectiveness and compliance.
- Complete a minimum of 40 hours of training per year, including certifications and credentials as required.
- Help the organization fulfill its mission to provide purpose and independence to participants.
- High school diploma or equivalent; waiver possible if pursuing further education with substantial community awareness.
- Significant empathy for clients served.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer skills.
- Collaborative mindset.
- Regular use of computer for documentation and communication.
- Ability to walk, sit, use hands, and lift or move lightweight items.
- Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within facility and community.
Work is performed in a residential setting that is environmentally controlled.
