Description

TMC is a therapy provider that brings physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to long term care providers. We are growing and looking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the team.

Department: Tristar Rehab Inc

Location: Heritage Manor of Stratmore

Compensation: $33.00 - $38.00 / hour

Responsibilities
  • Patient Care Execution:
    Under the supervision of an occupational therapist, execute the therapeutic plans designed to help patients. This includes teaching patients how to use adaptive equipment, guiding them through exercises, and engaging them in activities essential to recovery and improvement.
  • Activity and Program Planning:
    Contribute to planning and selecting therapeutic activities tailored to each patient’s needs and interests, aligning with goals set by the occupational therapist.
  • Progress Monitoring:
    Regularly monitor and document patient progress, observe changes, report to the occupational therapist, and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Patient and Family

    Education:

    Educate patients and families about the therapy process, adaptive equipment, and home modifications. Provide clear instructions to ensure therapies are continued at home.
Qualifications
  • Degree in an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current license/certification in the state of practice
