Patient Care Tech Night Shift

Location:

Specialists Hospital Shreveport, Shreveport, LA. Compensation: $40,000 - $52,300.

Work with the medical staff and other healthcare professionals to provide direct patient care in a variety of settings. This is a night shift position, working 12-hour shifts.

• Assist with patient treatments as directed by nursing and physician staff
• Assist with patient care planning and assessment
• Assist with recording vitals, height, weight, input/output
• Assist with patient nutrition: delivery of food trays, feeding as needed, additional nourishment
• Assist with patient mobility: turning, positioning, ambulation, transferring to wheelchair
• Assist with patient discharge
• Assist with patient ADL’s (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Assist with inventory: stocking needed supplies
• Assist with computer order entry as needed
• Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED
• 0–2 years of related experience
• CNA required
• BLS certified

• Use interpersonal communication techniques
• Requires standing, walking and running
• Organization and time management without direct order
• Requires pulling, lifting, turning, and assisting patients
• Present professional, caring, courteous image
• Knowledge of team building and dynamics
