Overview
Dialysis Clinic, Inc. (DCI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to individualized patient care for those with chronic kidney disease. Our mission is “the care of the patient is our reason for existence,” and we strive to provide compassionate support in a positive, mission‑driven culture. The Registered Dietitian will play a vital role in our interdisciplinary team, using nutrition education to improve patients’ quality of life.
ScheduleFull‑time, Monday through Friday. Shift start: 8:00 am. Weekends off. The position covers two clinics (East Shreveport & Minden) for in‑center hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
CompensationPay range: $55,000 – $70,000 annually, depending on renal experience. Experience is preferred.

- Assist patients with diet and nutrition choices that improve quality of life
- Complete comprehensive nutrition assessments for new and at‑risk patients
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and patient to develop and implement individualized care plans; review monthly progress toward goals
- Identify evidence‑based interventions to meet nutritional needs using current research
- Educate patients and families or caregivers about renal diet and fluid management
- Monitor monthly laboratory results and weight changes to recommend goal‑aligned adjustments
- Apply patient‑centered care, respecting individual and cultural preferences while encouraging engagement
- Participate in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement processes, documenting and attending clinic meetings
- Compile and create nutrition educational materials to promote adherence to renal diet guidelines
- Communicate nutrition concerns with the care team, including attending physicians
- Share advances in kidney disease and nutrition with the care team as needed
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated clinical proficiency
- Desire to collaborate with care teams
- Ability to problem‑solve
- Must be a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Minimum one year of clinical nutrition experience as an RDN required
- Previous renal care experience is preferred, but not required
