Medical Assistant

Willis Knighton Health System is seeking a medical assistant to work in a fast-past neurosurgery clinic. The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate a strong work ethic, critical thinking and organization skills, attention to detail, flexibility, dependability, possess excellent communication skills, have a strong knowledge of computers, and have the initiative to work independently. We have an atmosphere of teamwork that we expect to continue with all new hires as you will work closely with the physicians, managers, nursing and clerical staff as an integral component assisting in daily duties.

The job's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, giving excellent customer service, filing, data entry, the ability to assess the health status of the patient. Answering/returning phone calls, refills and scheduling tests and procedures as ordered. I will work with insurance companies and schedule patients for surgery, physical therapy and other health-related tests. Hospital and departmental orientation will be provided upon completion of the hiring process, as well as training on our enterprise system.

You will be required to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 5:00 pm.
