Counselor​/Social Worker

Responsibilities

Brentwood Hospital is looking for a dynamic Counselor / Social Worker to join our team of professionals dedicated to providing help and hope to individuals and families, improving their mental health. The role involves creating a safe, nurturing environment and offering ongoing support for continued improvement after discharge.

The candidate must be a LPC / LCSW or LMSW / PLPC and will provide quality case management and psychotherapeutic services to adult psychiatric patients (18+), adult CD patients (18+), adolescent patients (13‑17), child patients (4‑11) and their families, spouse, or significant others. This person will serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team supporting the organization’s treatment program and ensuring quality treatment delivery for all populations mentioned.

Brentwood Hospital is a 260‑bed psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment facility located in Shreveport, Louisiana. The facility has served Louisiana, East Texas, and South Arkansas for more than 45 years. We provide quality services to children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, helping individuals and families achieve optimal mental health and improved quality of life in a safe and nurturing environment.

• Education / Experience: Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, or related field; experience in inpatient or outpatient mental health settings preferred.
• Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Licensure: LPC / PLPC or LCSW / LMSW license required
