Halff is actively seeking an Intern for our Public Works/Transportation team in our Shreveport, LA office. The Civil Engineering Intern will help with Public Works and Transportation projects.
What You Will Do- Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
- Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Public Works and Transportation projects
- Perform drafting CAD work
- Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
- Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
- Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
- Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering Degree
- Great communication skills
- Solid relationship and team building skills
- Self‑motivated and strong organization skills
- Diverse and interdisciplinary teams can manage projects from inception through completion.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Internship DetailsInterns are paid hourly and work full‑time (40 hours/week), typically 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Halff does not pay for or provide housing for Internships.
