Assistant Professor of Sports Management
Centenary College of Louisiana invites applications for a tenure‑track position at the assistant professor level in the Frost School of Business beginning August 2026. Ideally, applicants will have a terminal degree in Sport Management from an AACSB accredited institution, demonstrated strength or a commitment to excellence in teaching, work experience in the profession, and a willingness to mentor undergraduate students in research.
Also preferred, the terminal degree will be earned in a program with a traditional, campus‑based doctoral program. ABDs within one year of degree completion will be considered. We seek candidates whose research, teaching, and service have prepared them to contribute to our commitment to the engagement and inclusion of culturally diverse audiences in higher education, particularly in the sport management discipline.
Successful candidates will teach introductory and upper‑level sport management undergraduate courses. Teaching responsibilities include teaching three 4‑credit hour courses per semester and holding on‑campus office hours each week. Qualified candidates are committed to excellent teaching, student advising and mentoring, professional development and scholarship, and service to the profession and the Centenary community. Centenary values interdisciplinary teaching and encourages faculty to contribute to and connect course offerings and scholarship.
Qualifications- Doctorate/terminal degree in related field is required.
- Candidates must possess demonstrable skills in, and commitment to, undergraduate teaching and research.
