Position Overview

Physician (Gastroenterologist) – U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

• Base pay range: $ – $ per year
• Competitive salary with annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) – a student loan payment reimbursement program. Applicants must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit their EDRP application within four months of appointment.

• Basic Requirements
• • United States Citizenship
  • Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree in medicine or osteopathic medicine from an approved school for the year of completion
  • Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or District of Columbia
  • Completed residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty program leading to eligibility for board certification
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology (additional requirement)
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
