Capital Markets & Securities Associate (4-6 yrs) – Am Law 200 Firm

About the Position: Our client, a highly regarded Am Law firm, is seeking a corporate securities/capital markets lawyer to join its Chicago headquarters as a mid-level associate. This practice group provides comprehensive capital markets and securities law counseling and represents organizations in all phases of the capital-raising process, from private placements, initial public offerings and secondary offerings to recapitalization and going-private transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Advise public and private companies on a range of capital markets transactions, including registered public offerings, private placements, and offerings under Rule 144A and Regulation S
• Advise clients on SEC disclosure requirements
• Represent clients with M&A and general corporate matters

Required Qualifications:

• 4-6 years of strong corporate transactional experience, including securities, capital markets and M&A
• Experience working on debt and equity offerings, M&A, and SEC compliance/reporting
• Large law firm experience
• Excellent academic credentials

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $265,000 – $320,000.
