Responsibilities

Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.

Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.

Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.

Provide customers with fresh products in correct portion sizes to prevent shrinkage.

Recommend deli or bakery items to ensure customer satisfaction.

Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to company guidelines.

Follow food safety and temperature logs, and prepare foods according to instructions.

Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes using appropriate utensils and equipment.

Label, package, and inventory ingredients and merchandise properly.

Check product quality, review "sell by" dates, and take necessary actions.

Maintain store layout knowledge to locate products for customers.

Stay informed about current, seasonal, and promotional advertisements.

Maintain inventory and stock levels, noting discrepancies.

Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained, and logs are updated.

Create a welcoming environment for customers and promote trust among staff.

Adhere to all food safety and safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions or accidents.

Inspect equipment regularly and notify management of repairs needed.

Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.

Manage conflicts in a respectful and cooperative manner.

Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.

Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.

Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
