Maintenance/Cleaning
Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Day in the life
You arrive on shift and review the preventative maintenance schedule. A conveyor shows an intermittent fault—you trace it using electrical schematics and a multimeter, swap a sensor, recalibrate, and have the line running before production ramps. Between rounds, you log findings in Megamations, coach a teammate on lock‑out/tag‑out, and help QA implement a small process tweak that saves time downstream.
What you’ll work on- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on production and facility assets to keep manufacturing on plan.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues across mechanical, electrical, PLC, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- Disassemble, clean, rebuild, and reassemble equipment; perform minor electronic repairs, alignments, and calibrations, including daily setup checks.
- Capture and analyze maintenance metrics; document work orders and parts usage in Megamations.
- Partner with vendors, contractors, and suppliers—often remotely—to resolve equipment problems.
- Assist the maintenance team leader in training both maintenance and manufacturing associates.
- Support continuous improvement with our quality teams by identifying and implementing process enhancements.
- Model reliability in attendance and punctuality, including breaks and lunches; adhere to all company policies.
- Champion a safe workplace by following and reinforcing safety procedures (including Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out) and providing timely feedback.
- Tackle special projects and added responsibilities as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED plus 1+ year of related maintenance experience.
- Background in highly automated, lean/continuous-flow manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency reading electrical schematics and using multimeters and equipment manuals to troubleshoot.
- Ability to collaborate and solve problems remotely with external partners.
- Comfort with PCs and basic math.
- Physical capability to lift 50–100 lbs., stand or walk for extended periods, and lift from waist, shoulder, and overhead frequently.
- Associate degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
