This role requires strong technical expertise in PCB layout, high-speed and analog design techniques, and a deep understanding of how physical layout impacts electrical performance, signal integrity, RF behavior, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to convert schematics into complete, manufacturable PCB layouts
  • Perform component placement and routing for high-speed digital, analog, RF, and power circuits
  • Develop and manage multilayer PCB stack-ups, including impedance-controlled designs
  • Apply signal integrity best practices such as termination, crosstalk mitigation, and BGA fan-out techniques
  • Implement EMC/EMI prevention strategies to ensure compliance with performance and regulatory requirements
  • Create and maintain PCB fabrication and assembly documentation (Gerbers, drill files, stack-up drawings, BOMs)
  • Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback to improve design quality and manufacturability
  • Work closely with manufacturing partners to support DFM/DFA requirements and resolve layout-related issues
  • Manage multiple design efforts simultaneously while meeting project schedules and quality standards
Required Qualifications
  • Electronic Technology AA degree or Certificate with 5+ years of relevant experience OR
  • High School Diploma or GED with 8+ years of relevant PCB design experience
  • Proven experience in PCB layout, multilayer stack-ups, impedance calculations, and high-speed routing
  • Proficiency with PCB CAD tools
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between PCB layout and electrical performance, RF behavior, and EMI
  • Knowledge of signal integrity and transmission line concepts (crosstalk, termination, BGA breakout, etc.)
  • Experience with multilayer PCB manufacturing processes, including thru-hole and SMT designs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience using Cadence Allegro or OrCAD PCB Editor
  • 5+ years of experience using Altium Designer
  • 3+ years of experience using Hyper Lynx DRC or similar SI/PI analysis tools
