The Head Coach at King’s will develop a Christ‑centered environment for student‑athletes, fostering growth as individuals and as a team. Responsibilities include supervising assistant coaches, overseeing program development, managing budgets and fundraising, and communicating with the Athletic Director.
Essential Functions- Year‑long preparation: develop core covenant statements, oversee JV and varsity program growth, stay current on coaching clinics, and promote athletic programs.
- Rules & Regulations: maintain WIAA, Emerald Sound Conference and sport‑specific rules knowledge, complete yearly official’s rules clinic.
- Budget & Fundraising: manage program budget, run fundraising initiatives with Athletic Director.
- Pre‑Season Prep: staff meetings, player try‑out sessions, league coaches meetings.
- Coaching Leadership: certify assistant coaches, emphasize player safety, provide constructive feedback, manage inventory, maintain confidentiality, schedule communication via Team Snap.
- Fundraising: lead program fundraisers, attend school events, support school marketing.
- Summer Camp: plan, execute July‑August sport‑specific youth camps.
- Summer Events: attend professional development clinics.
- Out‑of‑Season: supervise program compliance, no sport‑specific coaching.
- Enforce ethical conduct, sportsmanship, and good behavior.
- Provide feedback to promote spiritual and athletic growth aligned with King’s mission.
- Final season tasks: return league information, recommend facility improvements, update awards records.
- End‑of‑year meetings, banquet planning, equipment inventory.
Oversee assistant and volunteer coaches and participation within the program, ensuring alignment with CRISTA’s mission and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).
Essential Qualifications- Christ‑Centered
:
Belief in Jesus Christ, daily prayer, Bible study, devotionals, and alignment with CRISTA’s Statement of Faith. - Education
:
Bachelor’s degree from a U.S. accredited institution. - Experience
:
Previous soccer coaching experience. - Licensure / Certification
:
Van certification if required; CPR/First Aid card; WIAA coaching standards compliance. - Other Considerations

Understand King’s School philosophy, follow King’s Athletic Handbook, maintain knowledge of safety for athletes.
