Era Living is seeking a part-time administrative assistant at Ida Culver House Broadview, a vibrant retirement community with 300+ elderly residents in North Seattle, WA.
Responsibilities- Provides administrative and clerical support to the community Executive Director, and as assigned, other members of the leadership team.
- Assists, organizes, and relieves Executive Director of a wide range of routine and non-routine administrative and clerical tasks and projects.
- Assists with scheduling and coordinating employee trainings, recognition and appreciation events, and other meetings as assigned.
- Provides other administrative or clerical work as needed to ensure that community operations are fully supported including updating resident records, completing data entry projects and compiling and distributing community communication.
- Supports the Executive Director and other community leaders in answering/making phone calls, identifying needs, and directing questions and inquiries to proper area; greeting visitors; acting as liaison between community members, employees, general public and administration.
- Proficient knowledge and experience using computers:
Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher. - Keyboarding and data entry proficiency with accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal direction.
- Ability to handle multiple duties simultaneously; ability to organize and prioritize work and meet required deadlines.
- Sensitivity to the needs and concerns of older adults while maintaining resident confidentiality.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Ability to perform duties in compliance with established Universal Precautions, fire safety, infection control and sanitation procedures, and Era Living policies and procedures.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
- Ability to pass DSHS background check, required.
- High-school diploma or GED, required.
- Previous administrative experience, including supporting management, preferred.
- First Aid and CPR certified or able to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Part-time, 25 hours per week, day shift with flexibility to negotiate schedule within a Monday–Friday work week.
Annual compensation is listed as $23-$27 per hour
