Software Delivery Manager | Focus Group

Salary up to £50,000 plus benefits

We're looking for a Software Delivery Manager who thrives on keeping development teams focused, organised, and delivering. You'll be the operational backbone of our software function – managing Jira across multiple teams, facilitating agile ceremonies, and ensuring stakeholders always know where we stand.

This is a hands‑on role where you'll own sprint hygiene, delivery metrics, and the smooth flow of work from backlog to production.

Reporting to: Head of Software

Jira & Workflow Management

• Configure and maintain Jira projects, boards, workflows and automations
• Build dashboards and reports that give real‑time visibility
• Keep data clean, accurate, and actionable through regular hygiene activities
• Manage permissions and train teams on best practices

Sprint & Delivery Coordination

• Facilitate sprint planning, refinements, and poker planning sessions
• Monitor progress, identify blockers, and track velocity metrics
• Coordinate the development support rota
• Support continuous improvement through data‑driven insights

Stakeholder Communication

• Produce clear sprint reports and status updates
• Work with Business Analysts to ensure backlog items are sprint‑ready
• Coordinate UAT with internal stakeholders
• Escalate risks and dependencies proactively

Essential:

• Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and agile ways of working
• Excellent communication – you can translate technical complexity into clarity
• Analytical mindset – you spot patterns, trends, and potential issues early
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams
• Self‑starter who knows when to drive and when to elevate

Desirable:

• Proven Jira/Confluence proficiency (board config, workflows, JQL, automation)
• Jira Admin or Scrum Master certification
• Experience facilitating agile ceremonies
• Advanced JQL for complex reporting
• Background in tech/telecoms or supporting multiple development teams

• Work on diverse internal applications and integrated platforms (Service Now, Hub Spot, Dynamics)
• Hybrid flexibility with just 1‑2 days per week on‑site in Shoreham
